These animated sculptures are freakishly hypnotizing

Some mathematicians will tell you that patterns exist all around us. For John Edmark, an art lecturer at Stanford, patterns found in nature are the inspiration behind the mesmerizing sculptures called Blooms.  Each sculpture is 3D-printed and mimics patterns found in pinecones and sunflowers.
